Salicylate Challenge

My child has been on the phase 1 portion of the Feingold Salicylate Free diet for 4 months now, so we decided to go ahead and do a challenge as recommended on the phase 2 of the diet. We decided to try a very small amount of garlic in his home made ranch dressing. Within 20 – 30 minutes, his stomach was upset, and the next couple of days were peppered with nausea and headache. We now know to continue to avoid garlic forever! I’m curious, if when he decides to try something again, what he will want to try and how his body will respond.
