Dehydrated Green Beans

Sometimes when I experiment in the kitchen with the allergen/sensitivity restrictions, I come out with a winner and sometimes with a “fail”. Today was a fail! I was so excited to try to make dehydrated green beans as a snack for my kid who has salicylate sensitivity.

Well, he is usually very forgiving, but we both agreed, it had to go in the trash. I did have a good rebound though! I just finished a batch of dehydrated “golden delicious” apple chips, pretty good when you want something tart, sweet, and chewy. It still fits his salicylate sensitivity needs. My next attempt is going to be beef jerky.
